Water vapor sneaks into the housing, shorts out the electronics, or eats away at the heating elements. It&amp;rsquo;s frustrating. You get condensation settling right where you don&amp;rsquo;t want it.&#xA;We use sealed enclosures to keep that damp air off the quartz tubes. Now, fogging isn&amp;rsquo;t just about how it looks. It actually creates these &amp;ldquo;hotspots&amp;rdquo; on the lamp. Those spots are killers—they make the tube fail prematurely.&#xA;By keeping the airflow tight and the seals strong, the heating surface stays clean. That means the heat actually reaches the floor evenly, instead of wasting energy or burning out.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Dealing with the mess&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Let&amp;rsquo;s be real: workshops and warehouses are messy. You&amp;rsquo;re going to get splashes. You&amp;rsquo;re going to get dust.&#xA;We bumped up the IP rating on our units to make sure water doesn&amp;rsquo;t hit the electrical terminals. We added reinforced gaskets and shielded the wiring because a random splash shouldn&amp;rsquo;t be enough to blow a fuse or fry your controller.&#xA;One quick tip, though. Because these seals are so tight, they can block some of the natural airflow. Just make sure your mounting brackets have the clearance we recommend so the outer casing doesn&amp;rsquo;t get too hot.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Less time on a lift&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Usually, you&amp;rsquo;re looking at replacing lamps every year or two because the environment just wears them down.&#xA;Our design changes that. By keeping the connections dry and the tubes spotless, the heaters keep their punch without the usual corrosion.&#xA;It basically means you have a tool that can take a beating in a damp facility without you having to rent a scissor lift and send a technician up there every few months.
