Water is the enemy. Seriously. It’s a headache nobody needs. That’s why we built our infrared heaters with an IP65 rating. Basically, we focused on sealing the spots where things usually go wrong.
How the sealing actually works
When you see “IP65,” it just means the unit is tight enough to keep out dust and can handle water jets hitting it from any angle. We don’t use fancy tricks here—just high-temperature silicone gaskets and reinforced seals where the wires enter. It means when your team is doing a wash-down of the facility, you aren’t crossing your fingers and hoping the heaters survive the splash. But it’s not just about the big splashes. There’s also that annoying “fogging” that happens when plant temperatures swing wildly. That internal condensation eats away at the reflectors over time. We solved this by sealing the internal chamber. It keeps the humidity out so your reflectors actually keep reflecting, even after thousands of hours of work.
The catch: Heat buildup
Here is the honest part. When you seal a heater this tight, you lose that natural airflow that usually keeps the guts of the machine cool. Because it’s airtight, heat can get trapped. This is why you can’t just cram these units into a tiny, enclosed space. You need to give them some breathing room. If you pack them too tightly, the internal temperature will climb, and eventually, that’ll fry your wiring insulation. Just leave some space around the chassis and you’re golden.

The best part? You stop spending your time replacing lamps. Usually, water spots on a quartz tube create these nasty hotspots that cause the tube to rupture.
