We wanted to fix that. So, we built replacement lamps that actually fit. Whether you’re running the old-school SBO units or the newer Matrix series, these just work. The nitty-gritty on power These lamps hit hard and fast. We’re talking high-voltage circuits designed to get those preforms stretching in no time. We matched the OEM wattage and voltage exactly. Why? Because nobody wants to spend their afternoon resetting tripped power controllers. You get the heat density you need for high throughput, but here’s a pro tip:**keep your cooling blowers clean.**If the airflow chokes, these tubes will overheat and burn out way too soon. It’s as simple as that. Getting the fit right We went with high-purity quartz glass. It’s the only way to handle the thermal shock of rapid cycling without cracking. Depending on which machine you’ve got, we use R7s or SK15 connectors. But the real secret is in the measurements. We spent a lot of time mapping out the SBO and Matrix oven racks. We made sure these lamps sit perfectly flush in the reflectors. It sounds minor, but a gap of even 2mm can mess up your heating.
